Designed as a statement piece, The Meltwater Skirt captures a polar landscape in transition - ice fragmenting, edges dissolving and meltwater carving unpredictable paths through once-solid terrain.

Crafted from repurposed denim, the skirt is intentionally raw, unfinished and irregular. Cascading strips of denim in varying shades of indigo, washed blue and exposed reverse denim fall freely from a structured waistband, creating a fragmented surface that shifts with every movement. Frayed edges, exposed seams, uneven lengths and variations in texture are deliberately retained rather than refined away.

The construction draws from the visual language of melting polar ice - fractured, uneven and constantly changing. Just as a glacier does not melt in perfect lines, the denim does not fall with perfect symmetry. Some strips overlap, some separate, some twist to reveal their lighter reverse, creating changing flashes of blue and white as the wearer moves.

A structured waistband and signature CitizenEarth snap button anchor the otherwise free-flowing silhouette, creating a deliberate tension between structure and deconstruction.

The Meltwater Skirt is not designed to look perfectly finished. It is designed to look alive. Bold, tactile and unapologetically unconventional, it turns the rawness of recovered material into its defining feature - a statement piece inspired by polar ice caught in the act of transformation.

The Meltwater Skirt is intentionally designed with a raw, deconstructed and irregular finish. Uneven edges, exposed threads, fraying, varying strip lengths, visible seams and differences in denim shade and texture are deliberate elements of the design and should not be considered defects.

Each skirt is constructed using repurposed denim, meaning the material already carries its own history. Differences in wash, fading, stitching, markings and surface character will naturally occur, making every piece distinct. The placement and fall of the denim strips will also vary from piece to piece. With movement and wear, raw edges may soften and fray further - an intended evolution of the garment that adds to its character over time.

Like no two streams of meltwater follow the same path, this piece was never intended to be uniform, symmetrical or perfectly finished. Its irregularity is the statement.
